After you watch the video and read the study notes below, answer these questions here on the Fellowship Project Blog Posting link on this page:
1. Discuss any wrong father-image mindsets that need correction because of bad experiences with an earthly father.
2. Choose the correct mindset, as mentioned in Romans 8:5-9 TPT:
3. Discuss the following statements:
3A. Impulses of the Holy Spirit:
3B. Motivated to pursue spiritual realities:
3C. A mindset controlled by the Spirit finds life and peace:
4. Discuss the meaning of 2 Timothy 3:16 (NKJV). The passage says, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”
Visitation:
“I want you to fully understand the life-changing nature of my visitation with Jesus. I am not the same person I was before that experience. I learned that you can trust the accuracy of the Word of God. You can take God’s Word at face value as a child would.”

Thou hast granted me life
and favour and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit.
—Job 10:12 KJV
DISCUSSION:
When the Lord visited me in 1992, it was life-changing, and the Lord preserved my spirit. He granted me favor that allowed me to encounter Him and the supernatural, and something happened to my spirit that changed me forever. I was not the same person after I encountered these supernatural events in my life. If you allow yourself to be transformed by the renewing of your mind, allowing God to change you, you set yourself up for visitation.
BECOME LIKE A LITTLE CHILD
Matthew 18:3: “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.
* Become converted.
* Be born-again of the Spirit of God.
* Become like a little child.
You must have that child-like faith that causes you to walk in the simplicity of a trusting, loving, watchful Heavenly Father that will provide for you beyond measure. What causes people to walk into the Heavenly realm and encounter God is to become like a little child. Children are very simple. If you tell them something, they believe you, and they go and do it. You have a Heavenly Father that loves you, and He will provide for you. You can trust Him. The trust factor is what is missing in our faith walk. Whatever you are believing God for, it exists in the spirit realm. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (see Hebrews 11:1).
On earth, we think in terms of a timeline of events. However, there is no distance or time in the spiritual realm. There are no limitations in the spirit realm, but there are shortcuts. The moment something was spoken, it occurred in that realm, but now the response takes much longer because we live in a fallen and broken world. The dimensions here don’t always match up with what is happening in the Spirit. There is a separation of the spirit realm from the natural realm. Now because there is so much time between point A and point B, obstacles come up and cause you to make turns, but there are shortcuts that you can take to get to your destination.
We have to operate in faith, believing that what our Father says, He will do. You must walk in faith as a child and say, “My Dad said that we’re going, and so we are going. We’re going to the mountains. We’re going to have a picnic, or we’re going to have hot dogs and roast marshmallows because Dad said so.” That is how faith should be. When this happens in your life, you will start to have visitations because your faith matches God’s kind of faith. God is not interested in our opinion because when He speaks, it is coming from the “I am.” We have to honor that and love God, fall on our face and worship Him and say, “Whatever You say, Father, so be it.”
When the angel came to Mary and told her that she would have the Messiah and that He would be born through her womb, it was too much for her. Nevertheless, Mary received it with child-like faith. She said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word” (see Luke 1:28). Sarah had that childlike faith also. She judged Him faithful who had promised, and then she was able to conceive a child even though she was past her age to conceive (see Hebrews 11:11).
We have to be aware that certain mindsets we have towards our earthly father may deter us from correctly relating to God as a loving Heavenly Father. If we judged God by the way we encountered authority figures or father figures in our lives, we might not be judging God correctly. If we are going off how people act around us, there might be a perception of God based on what we have encountered by them. We have to have the right mindset. The mindset that you choose is based on spiritual things and based on truth.
Absolute truth is in Heaven. God is seated on the throne in Heaven, and He is ruling and reigning with righteousness, justice, and faithfulness. (see Psalms 89:14).
A MINDSET MOTIVATED BY THE SPIRIT
Romans 8:5-9 (TPT): “Those who are motivated by the flesh only pursue what benefits themselves. But those who live by the impulses of the Holy Spirit are motivated to pursue spiritual realities. For the mindset of the flesh is death, but the mindset controlled by the Spirit finds life and peace. In fact, the mindset focused on the flesh fights God’s plan and refuses to submit to His direction because it cannot! For no matter how hard they try, God finds no pleasure with those controlled by the flesh. But when the Spirit of Christ empowers your life, you are not dominated by the flesh but by the Spirit. And if you are not joined to the Spirit of the Anointed One, you are not of Him.”
If you frame your mind with wrong ideas based on the flesh and this realm, it will cause you to experience death in all kinds of ways; in your relationships, in your finances, and in your body. If you want visitation from God, then you can’t fight God and His plan. The mindset of the flesh fights God’s plan and refuses to submit to His direction. God finds no pleasure with those controlled by the flesh.
1 Thessalonians 5:23: “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Paul here is distinguishing three parts of man; the spirit, soul, and body. At the fall of man, not only was there a separation of the realms, but we separated within ourselves. We can oppose ourselves within ourselves as well (see 2 Timothy 2:25 KJV). You can have the understanding of truth in your heart but in your mind have doubt and lack of faith. Your mind can fight your heart. Then you could argue within, and fear could come in through your thoughts, which is your soul. Your soul is the psychological part of you, the mind, will, and emotions. Your spirit is the heart, the inner part of you, and it is the part of you that is born again. Here Paul emphasizes, “But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified” (1 Corinthians 9:27).

PRAYER
Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You so much for all the wonderful people that you have gathered together in Warrior Church, and I thank You, Father, by Your Spirit, that You visit right now.
I thank You, Father, that You touch them in their mind, their will and their emotions, and you touch them in their body, and also in their spirit, and visit them right now.
We ask for visitation, Lord, that we would come to You with child-like faith and trust You and have the mindset that You are a good God and a good Father and that You want to provide for us and help us in every way. And thank you, Lord, that You are helping us to be motivated by Your Spirit and seek spiritual realities in the name of Jesus.
